Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water systems, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy died and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks come after evenings of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already impacting energy systems.

He said energy workers and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
